Unfortunately, not every student begins the year with the school supplies they need to make the grade. Stafford County Public Schools coordinates a school supply drive every summer to help students in need get ready for the upcoming school year. The school system partners with Stafford County Social Services so the backpacks/school supplies are received by specific individuals identified as having financial need.
This is the 5th year running the Stuff the Bus campaign and every year the numbers of students increase. All 30 schools within Stafford County are serviced (17 Elementary, 8 Middle and 5 High Schools). Last year 248 elementary, 133 middle and 94 high school students received assistance. That is a total of 475 backpacks filled with school supplies. Items that are needed the most are: pencils, loose-leaf paper, glue sticks, crayons, colored pencils, markers, composition books and dry erase markers.
This year Lupi Orthodontics is an official drop-off site! We will be accepting donations starting Monday, July 9th and school supplies will be collected through August 16th. We thank you in advance for your support!
